There had been some
talk a few years ago between a couple Club members of having a World
of Wheels display similar to what Ford had at the New York World's
Fair in 1964. The idea was set aside while other display ideas
were used. This idea was revitalized this past winter, with
the upcoming 50th anniversary of the launch of the Ford Mustang.
The idea of
replicating the Ford display to some degree would be perfect for the
Club display for this year. We would have the three-legged arch,
with a rotating Ford sign, and most importantly an early Mustang on

display was a birthday cake, candles, posters detailing events from
the five decades, die-cast cars representing all the Mustang eras,
With the ideas of
our Club members and their talents, along with support from the
business community, we put together another great Club Display. We won
First Place in Best Club Display
this year again. The Iron Indian (Pontiac) Auto Club finishing
in Third Place, while the Northern Mopars Auto Club finished in
The Club member cars
once again helped make this Club Display a success. The cars
displayed included a 1965 Coupe, 1965 convertible, a 1965 Hi-Po
fastback, 1966 Resto-mod convertible, a 1965 Shelby GT350, 1968
California Special, and an un-restored 1969 Boss 429.

other fine Fords at the World of Wheels, besides the ones in our
