Our Club Display
theme this year was "Deerfoot 500". The real intent was to
showcase some of the performance heritage and reputation surrounding
the Mustang and various Ford nameplates. With
our theme we went with a combination of new and old performance
Mustangs and other Fords.
Most of these six
Club cars had not been in the World of Wheels before, nor had most
of their owners. There were certainly many new memories created this
year and new friendships made. Many, many volunteer
hours by Club Members were spent in designing, constructing, and
painting this display, along with the other items
created for this show.
Once again this year
it was a very hard-fought battle with the Club Displays! We won
Second Place in Best Club
Display this year, as we were beat out by a very good
display from the Northern Mopars Auto Club, with Nifty Fifties Ford
Club finishing in Third Place. I expect we will all be back next year, and we expect the competition
to again be fierce. Our Club will need to come up with another great
theme and display to stay "in the money" again next year.
