Our Club Display
theme this year was "California Dreamin' ", in honour of
the 40th anniversary of the 1968 California Special. With
our theme we went with a combination of newer performance Mustangs,
several mint '68 Cal Spec's, bright
colours, and a Hollywood theme, portraying a star-studded affair.
None of these six
Club cars had been in the World of Wheels before, nor had most of
their owners. There was certainly many new memories created this
year. Once again many, many volunteer
hours by Club Members were spent in designing, constructing, and
painting this display, along with the other items
created for this show.
It was a very hard
fought battle with the Club Displays this year! We won
Third Place in Best Club
Display this year, as we were beat out by some very good
displays from the Nifty Fifties Ford Club and the Northern Mopars
Auto Club. We will be back next year, and we expect the competition
to again be fierce.
