We continue to enjoy
beautiful weather on "Show Day" as once again this year we held our 27th
Annual Club Show and Shine in the beautiful park-like setting of
Stanley Park. You really get
spoiled parking your car on the field, and to walk on grass all day long
instead of on asphalt. This latest show site has certainly become a
"winner", and we hope to continue our relationship with the City of
Calgary and this venue.
We had a great
selection of Ford vehicles with a total of 137 of them turning out for the event.
Once again, we believe this event was a complete success. As with
many other Ford events in recent years across North America, there
was a huge representation of the newer Mustangs. There was also good
support from other Ford Clubs in the city, including a large
contingent again from the Thunderbird Club.
Our charity again this
year is the Calgary Women's Emergency Shelter, and they were once again rewarded
with the generosity of the Mustang community. We were able to
present them with a very nice cheque at the end of the day. As well, their
volunteers also assisted with the food preparation and sales.
