1990 Ford Mustang Convertible,
5.0, Bright Red. I am looking for a new home for my high
performance toy. She has been sitting in storage for the last
few years and isn’t being appreciated. She was born in 1990 in
Vancouver, BC where I grew up. For the last twenty years I have
customized this stock 1990 Bright Red Ford Mustang Convertible
5.0 Litre, 5 speed, with a black convertible top, and grey
custom Recaro interior. About 12 years ago I purchased a new
motor that was bored & stroked to make 347 cubic inches, 400
horsepower and over 400 ft/lb of torque. It is built for an
additional 125 hp of Nitrous Oxide to be shot through it. I have
been very happy with the performance of this motor and never
motivated enough to install the nitrous kit. She now has about
9,000 kilometers on the motor. She is still very tight and
strong. The original car has about 140,000 kms since new. The
suspension has been replaced from front to back with new spring
& adjustable Koni shocks. The panhard bar and torque arm in the
rear helped her with getting some outstanding traction. The
custom rear widened 17” tall x 9.75” wide Centerline Scorpion
rims with new rubber 2 years ago also made a difference. I have
spent close to $40,000 and countless hours of labour on her. I
realize that I will never get this back and that is okay because
she has been a lot of fun!!! This is not a car for everyone and
it will probably take a certain type of buyer to appreciate and
want her for the way she is. If you’re serious and a person that
I feel is appropriate to adopt her, I would be open to a
reasonable offer or trade for something interesting??? If I am
not able to find the right person to take her complete, I will
probably part her out. I am not interested in taking anyone out

Original owner, factory-ordered car, Car comes with full
documentation and video library. The car was purchased as a toy
from day one, was never to be used for daily transportation.
Always stored in heated garage, no accidents, no rust. 1993 was
the last year of production for the Fox-bodied Mustangs. PAINT: Factory original "Electric Red Clearcoat", rare color,
only year this color was offered. INTERIOR: Factory original Black, also a rare color. FACTORY OPTIONS: air-conditioning, sunroof (removable), cruise
control, electric mirrors, door locks, windows, driver’s seat

increase in comp would yield an easy 25-30 hp increase to this
engine combination. Crane ignition box c/w rev limiter. Crane
roller camshaft, Crane pushrods, Crane roller rocker arms, and
Crane valve springs. CL 75 mm mass air meter, FMS 65 mm throttle
body, FMS 24lb injectors. Larger in tank fuel pump, Adjustable
fuel regulator with gauge. FMS Cobra intake (match ported). ARP
fasteners and Felpro gaskets used thru out. Mac 1 5/8” long tube
headers, Flowmaster 2½ “ mandrel-bent aluminized catback exhaust
with H-pipe (not cats)and S/S polished tips, Turbo Z 2½”
mufflers. FMS aluminum driveshaft, Lakewood driveshaft loop, FMS
King Cobra clutch, Alum clutch cable quadrant. March underdrive
pulleys, Hurst shifter, Hurst Linelock, button built into
shifter. Autometer Shift light, Pillar mounted vacuum gauge.
Polished alternator, power steering pump, accessory belt
tensioner and brackets. Power-coated Cobra intake, valve covers
and assorted engine brackets. WMS Full-length subframe
connectors, WMS Strut tower brace. Guyon 4-link bars with
urethane bushings. Lift King Airbags in rear coil spring c/w
valving and gauge. Moser 28-spline axles (4-lug). Mac
Differential cover supports bearing caps. Gearsets: 3:55 9"
(presently in the car) also 4:10’s and the original 2:73’s.
Trunk-mounted battery with kill switch (NHRA Legal) hidden
behind licence plate. Anti-theft kill switch installed in car.
Tires: Z-rated front 225/50/16, and rear 245/50/16 mounted on
Original 5-star Pony rims. The car is set up to run Weld
Drag-Lite rims with the extra long wheel studs (NHRA legal) that
fit neatly behind the Stock Pony rim centre caps.

roller cam, pump gas friendly. Merkl Race Shop C6 has UCC
3800 stall converter, full manual reverse pattern valve body
and Red Alto clutches. Rear end is a 9" 31 spline Detroit
Locker, 4:11 gears and Moser axles. Centerline wheels are
shod with new M/T ET Street tires and Sportsman skinnies.
Rear suspension is Calvert split leaf mono springs, Rancho
9000 shocks and Cal-tracs. Stock front suspension with
Calvert 90/10 shocks. Exhaust is Hooker headers, 3.5"
H-pipe, Hooker Aerochamber mufflers, reducing to 3"
tailpipes terminating at the bumper with all components
ceramic-coated. Car has run a best of 11.51 at 117.6 mph in
Mission, BC last September through the full exhaust. This is
a unique car, turning heads, as there is not another like it
anywhere! Selling as I am anxious to get another project
